Nissa Larsen

I grew up in a family of ten children, six of whom are adopted from all over the world. One of my adopted sisters was especially clingy with my parents in public, but very active at home.  To pull her out of her shyness, my parents enrolled her in gymnastics.  Pretty soon all ten of us were taking classes, mostly as a way to get our beans out somewhere other than on the living room furniture!

I started taking gymnastics when I was 3 years old, and became a competitive gymnast both nationally and internationally.  After I stopped competing I continued my love of the sport by coaching at my home gym throughout high school and college.

This past year I returned to the sport I loved so much as a child coaching at a gym in The Hamptons. That led to a job this summer running the gymnastics program at a camp in East Hampton.

I am now providing private lessons to those children wishing to continue their gymnastics experience.
