Sandra L. Brown, MA

Sandra L. Brown, M.A. pioneered the field that has become known as ‘Narcissistic and Psychopathic’ abuse. She wrote the first book about this topic in 2008 taken from her 30 years of experience in working with narcissists and psychopaths and their partner/survivors.  Since that time, she has continued developing the theory that has propelled this new emerging field by studying, researching, and publishing about the relationship dynamics, the traumatic aftermath, cognitive dissonance as a symptom of these relationships, and most importantly, the personality traits of victims who are targeted through her research with Purdue University.

Sandra holds a master’s degree in counseling and is a trauma-trained professional. She is the author of eight books including the award-winning Women Who Love Psychopaths: Inside the Relationships of Inevitable Harm With Psychopaths, Sociopaths & Narcissists and the ever-popular How to Spot a Dangerous Man Before You Get Involved.
