Why we’re Psychologically Wired to Deny what makes us Uncomfortable.
An empowered assault survivor with a bold message of healing, Sara Giita Flores captivates audiences as a motivational speaker, singer, and author. After being sexually assaulted at ages five and fifteen, she buried the shame and lived in fear of speaking out. Playing piano emerged as the one safe place for her self-expression, until she was diagnosed with tendonitis as a nineteen-year-old piano major at Lewis & Clark College. Finally she was forced to face her feelings of never being good enough as she began a decade-long internal excavation. Through therapy, meditation, yoga, and songwriting she recovered her wounded voice and learned to heal her trauma.
Convinced the route to healing the world lies with first healing ourselves, Sara Giita Flores has learned to love all parts of her journey and embrace the feelings of depression and inadequacy she struggled with for so many years. Now she dedicates her creative voice to spreading hope and healing through her blog, Sunlight for Survivors, as well as inspirational concerts and public speaking.

We're community-driven. We're dedicated to sharing "the mindful life" beyond the core or choir, to all those who don't yet know they give a care. We focus on anything that's good for you, good for others, and good for our planet.
