You Get To Choose Your Lens, In Which You See The World
Shannon Sabol is a mother of two, a yoga teacher in the Cleveland area, and loves to write haikus (a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five) as a creative mindfulness practice. “I love writing haikus because of their simplicity. You can say a lot with such few words. It feels like a creative puzzle in my head. I might be inspired by something I see, a yoga pose, a life experience, or even a single word. I challenge myself to pay attention on a deeper, to what’s interesting throughout my day. Like yoga, writing haiku poetry is a balance of effort and ease. The effort is in the noticing, and the ease is letting it come, not from me, but through me.” Follow at at @shannonsabolyoga and search #haikuyogi for more haikus about love, life, and embracing this messy, beautiful world we live in!
