I want to be the Guardian of Desire. {Poem}
Sarah Ann LaFleur is a writer, ashtanga yoga teacher, and Sanskrit enthusiast who is passionate about the creative, spiritual life. Her work has been featured in The Huffington Post, Elephant Journal, and The Courier Times in addition to other publications. Sarah has been teaching yoga since 2011. She has worked extensively with the recovery population and currently teaches in addiction treatment centers. This interest led her to study ashtanga yoga and Sanskrit and earn certifications as a 500-hour ERYT and teacher for the American Sanskrit Institute. Sarah has recently taken courses at Rikhiapeeth ashram in Deoghar, India, where she studied karma yoga, the chakra system, and the Shakta Tantra erotic poem, The Saundarya Lahari. Currently, Sarah directs the Tantric Arts Collective. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and ASERVIC (Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling), earning her M.A. as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Sarah is also training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model with the NARM Institute to work with individuals living with complex trauma.
