Life isn’t what I imagined it would be.

I find myself with a divorce under my belt, without my mom, and financially….anyway, you get the picture. It has been hard. Miserable even. I can’t help but be grateful, regardless, because getting shoved out of my comfort zone has made it necessary to lean on my creativity to cope. I am an artist. I’m a writer. I do photography. I am a new person, and I love this person very much. Yeah…life isn’t what I imagined it would be, and that’s ok.

Completely self-taught, I am compelled to create. It makes the journey easier to manage. I didn’t draw, paint, or do lettering prior to my divorce 5 years ago. My interest in a camera was minimal up to that point. There is just something about being blindsided by a divorce after 20 years of marriage that shakes you to your core. It wakes you up. I have a story to tell now, and here it comes.
